This is a masterpiece. Its not an exaggeration to say that its the best game that Ive played in years. Its amazing how much it conveys with such a limited palette and animation. Its impressive how many different sorts of puzzles show up here, even with the minimal control set. Play late at night with the lights turned down and the sound up for the full effect. Expect to die a lot (which is, oddly, part of the charm).

This game is beautiful, the controls are simple, the challenges can be hard, but are solvable. Only criticism…it seems short; I left wanting more, which the producers will inevitably release. Dont leave this game out of your collection!

Best game I’ve bought so far. Captures the spirit of film noir. The game itself is inventive and imaginative and the play requires you to think and strategize. I’m the kind of guy who prefers a puzzle game. But LIMBO has plenty to offer for those looking to broaden their horizons in terms of game play. Are you a out of the box thinker who enjoys being thrilled. Then this is a great game for you to introduce yourself to.

Had a couple of crashes but it always was up to where I had progressed. Fantastic game, wished it was longer, but overall this one gets 5

i just purchased this game not to long ago i paid my moneyfor it and it says that it installed but i cant play it. i go to click on the game and just shoots me off. i cant play it and idk why.

I have a NEW MacBook Pro, and it won’t start. Tried all the troubleshooting ideas and nothing works. Charge more for the game, and fix it. No excuses.

Ive played through the game twice in a short time. will the map be expanded eventually? cant wait to find out!

Beautiful. Just beautiful. But, for me, ruined because it is just a Mario Brothers type game, clever puzzles are reduced to challenging you to time jumps properly. Many puzzles impossible to solve until you have died at least once to see what the nature of the puzzle is. Im sure many people like this sort of game, but it bored me. Just know that that is what you are getting into and not a real puzzle game at all. Truly beautiful though.

I love Limbo. You have to think, be precise at times, and the atmosphere and style is amazing. Some of it is downright creepy, like the spider. And overall, the whole game is twisted with so many dark dangerous and sick things coming at you to kill you. But its a really beautiful game. I highly recommend it. I understand why its not too long… it must have been incredibly difficult to make it work this well. Its long enough. Took me probably 12 hours in total to finish it with the help of internet walk throughs because some levels were just impossible to figure out. Limbo is a great game. Thanks to the creators for making it.

Excellent game. Simple, yet challenging. Dark, atmospheric and beautiful. The designers are very talented. Definitely give it a play.

I love the art, gameplay, puzzles and everything about this game. LOVE IT!

I liked the unique macabre atmosphere which is open to interpretation. For me, the storyline is obviously the way a hurt boy sees the world around him, horrifiying, but something to endure to reach ones goals. The puzzles are simple and include the usual trial and error, but they are presented in a unique way, with an atmostphere that is unlike any other game Ive played. The attention to detail is stunning, with the music, sounds, and graphics, all complementing each other perfectly. I like Osmos and Braid better and give them 5 stars, but this game is still very good.

all my other apps play with the sound an stuff but, This game has no sound!!!!

Limbo is a great puzzle game with a few twists. Make sure you play in the dark!

“Pitfall!" meets "Angry Birds" meets “Eraserhead."

Will someone PLEASE tell me why the action button isn’t working? This is getting extremely frustrating. I’ve tried to go into the settings.txt file and modify the controls but I get a “you do not have permission to modify this file” dialogue every time. I’ve even tried going into “get info” and changing the read-write permissions. I find it incredible that I payed ten dollars for a game that I can’t even play. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

I never play video games. NEVER. Nevertheless, I downloaded Limbo and stayed up until 2 in the AM until I beat it. I think that’s saying something :) If you get this game, don’t expect to sleep until you finish it!

An awesome mix between a puzzle game and a basic platform game. Each level is its own seperate puzzle. And once you’ve finally figured it out, now you have to actually execute it. Challanging to both the mind and fingers :) Great game, would recomend it to anyone!

I got stuck on a impossible obstacle around the third chapter, and there was absolutely nothing you can do about it. No hint, no help whatsoever. So left it on my computer for over a year and just deleted it. A total waste of money!!

I was attarcated to this app game because it is in B +W. The visual design takes maxomal advantage of the grayscale to convey both creepiness and depth of field. The sound design is terrific and makes the hair on the back of your neck, even if you are Italian like me and it is super thick haha. The levels are challenging and interesting. Best $10 I ever spent on a game!
