At last!

In my opinion, one of the most incredible (game) experience ... running under OSX!

hallo

super kein ton im spiel warum

Awesome!!!

beautiful dark scenario. lovely and detailed programming. hard puzzles. Summit: One of the most exciting jump and runs the last years. waiting for Limbo2!

INSANE graphical glitches.

Massive graphical glitches! random black lines everywhere. Takes away from the gameplay so much, Please fix this. Wont be able to enjoy the game until this is fixed.

what lurks

Simple, dark and challenging, this game doesnt disappoint those who enjoy games for the brain and imagination to see what lurks in the dark.

Great atmosphere - great platformer

Its easy to write LIMBO off as just a glorified Flash platformer, but in reality LIMBO is much, much more. Its eerie atmosphere and lack of clarity towards the young boy and the world you are in make it all the more unsettling. You constantly feel like you are truly exploring as each new area yields unpredictable new puzzles, environments, and foes. Sometimes LIMBOs puzzles are too trial-and-error with reaction based introductions causing you to die from obstacles you had no idea were coming. On the other hand, LIMBOs puzzles are all fairly straight forward after a bit of thought, you are unlikely to find yourself in the same kind of jam that BRAID commonly puts you in. Quick reflexes and a nack for problem solving makes LIMBO a breeze. Dont mistake this for a criticism, LIMBO is a unique and engrossing game even if it could stand to be a bit more challenging. Oh, best part? Its beautiful, and accessible to even moderately powerful Macs. Low graphical requirements mean there is a low bar of entry for this great game.

Always wanted to play this

Very happy to see this game ported to the mac. Beautiful sets, great lighting along with cool lens aberrations (like soft edges) and old black & white film grain remind me of classic Fritz Lang films. The puzzles are fun, the game play dynamic which keeps this title from becoming a cerebral bore. Though I thought the "worm in my brain" gag was used too often, I intend to play through til the end a few more times. Well worth the $10.

WAAAAAY TOO SHORT

I bought this game thinking it would be twisted and fun, it lived up to my expectations but it was way too short making it totally not worth the money but if people have the money to waste then go for it cause it was fun while it lasted.

Brilliant!

Epic, immersive and fluid gameplay.

Major graphics problem, please fix!

I know this game is phenomenal and was excited to play it for the first time, but I just started the game up on a 13 Feb 2011 Intel i7 2.7 GHz Macbook Pro running OSX Lion 10.7.2, and I encountered a game-hindering graphical glitch. Everything in the game including the separate body parts of the main character was composed of rectangles of black lines, resembling barcodes. It seems as if the backdrops and images in the game are in the right place, but were all replaced with the same image of black lines. The menu functioned normally, except for the sliders in the options, which were also composed of the "lines" image. I cannot enjoy this, and am disappointed, as I have just spent $10 and the game is broken. Please read this, and fix this problem as soon as possible.

Fun casual game.

I have too many games that I buy and dont play, but Ill definitely finish this one. It definitely takes some dying to figure out most of the traps and puzzles; sometimes this means that you simply die, then avoid the trap the next play-through, and repeat, but I laughed out loud so many times that I feel that this still makes the game enjoyable. Graphics are simple, but definitely violent--it shouldnt be played by young players. It runs great and is stable. Fun casual game.

Excellent Art, Depressing Content

This bleak platformer has brilliant art design, but gameplay involves watching a small child die repeatedly in any number of gruesome ways. If corpse mutilation doesnt bother you go ahead. Anyone looking for an upbeat platformer might want to try Psychonauts instead.

random crashing?

I like the experience so far, but sometimes it would crash and ask about a hard drive to place it in.. I honestly forgot what happened but I had to restart my macbook.

Wow!

I cannot recomment this game highly enough - engrossing, touching, beautiful… If you get just one game off the app store, let it be this one!

creapy!!

Oh wow, this game isnt just beautiful and their egnimas arent just funs and brilliants. Oh nooo, prepare yourself to jump of surprise or acclaim the genie behind every little creapy corners! Enjoy!

Great while it lasted

This was a very satisfying game, as great as i expected it to be. but it seems asthough it was a bit too short, couple hours at most. as i said "fun while it lasted" because now i have a game that i enjoyed because of the puzzles that i payed 9$ for. but i know all the answers to the puzzles now, so playing it again will not be AS satisfying, however, If money isnt such a big deal for you, i greatly recommend this game! :)

Wow

At first, when I started to play this I thought ok, this is a normal type puzzle game that looks really cool. Then the character walked into a bear tap, and BAM he was cut in half! Then I realized this game is way more than solving simple puzzles. A+ to the devs/qa on this game.

This is amazing

limbo is the best game ever, i cant remember the last time i played a game this fun. The puzzles are great because they make you use your brain. This game in my opinion is actually educational in a sense. I have to say that this is the best game ever, no wonder it has won so many awards. Its just fantastic.

Very well done

This game is so much more than a one-way movement concept.

Beautifully, gothic setting

LIMBO is a fantastic game not only because of the ease at which one can learn to play, but because it is obvious the gamemakers took time and made every level as perfect as it could be. Everything fits into the dark and mysterious theme that LIMBO carries and contributes to the young boys fanastic journey. Their is so much detail in this game and it moves along at such a nice pace.
